Fighters took to the scale on the eve of PXC 40 for the official weigh ins which was held at the PIC resort in Guam.
All fighters made weight except for Jay Taijeron, who weighed 3.5-lbs over the 135-lbs limit. His opponent, Roman Alvarez, tipped the scale at 134-lbs. Taijeron was, hence, given an hour to cut weight.
PXC 40 Weigh In results: Headliners Tanaka, Aguon hit marks
Headliners Michinori Tanaka and Kyle Aguon weighed in at 134-lbs and 135.5-lbs respectively. Both combatants are to square off for the PXC Bantamweight Championship belt on Friday.
PXC 40 takes place at the UOG Fieldhouse in Guam. Notable bouts on the fight card include a 145-lbs scrap between Team Buffet’s Will Chope and King of Pancrase Takumi Nakayama, and a Women’s match-up pitting former Bellator MMA vet Patricia Vidonic against Japanese MMA icon, Mei Yamaguchi.
